Mc Clurg’s work considers places that are real and imagined. She develops work that references alternate realities that seem to exist in the same time and space. The core of the work is about consciousness and manifesting the intangible concerns that effect us in physical form. Through the use of large sculptural work and video and sound installations, McClurg seeks to describe the landscape of the subconscious, the feeling of intuition and the places of other universes. Her work considers the human psyche. She explores the influence that society has on our consciousness. She imagines the intangible ideas as physical places and perceives transitional spaces where these two places convene.
